We are a warm, welcoming and child-centred nursery dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can thrive. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our team and help lead high-quality early years practice.
The Role
As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, supporting your team and ensuring the highest standards of care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of practitioners within the room
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
- Monitor children’s development and maintain accurate records
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
- Support staff development and contribute to a positive team culture
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times
Requirements
- Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare
- Previous experience in a senior practitioner or room leader role
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
