Duties
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist in cooking and assembling meals, ensuring quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
- Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a professional setting
- Experience working in restaurants or catering services is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
