Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster positive relationships with families, and uphold high standards of childcare. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in supervising daily nursery activities and staff schedules to ensure smooth operations
- Support the implementation of engaging early childhood education programs that promote learning and development
- Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare, maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children and families
- Help oversee health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Mentor and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and nursery activities
- Participate in staff training, appraisals, and recruitment processes to build a strong team committed to excellence
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working with children, demonstrating a strong understanding of early childhood development
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices in early education
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- A full and relevant DfE recognised childcare qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Passion for early childhood education combined with a proactive approach to leadership
- A new or current DBS Certificate that has been registered to the DBS Subscription Update Service.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
