Sunday Sales Assistant – Distinctly Living
Distinctly Living has been helping customers create beautiful homes for nearly 20 years. We offer a carefully curated collection of furniture, homewares, lighting, paint and accessories from across Europe, and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
We are looking for a friendly, confident and reliable Sales Assistant to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, working every Sunday, with the opportunity for additional hours by arrangement.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has a genuine interest in interiors and home décor, and is comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth running of the shop.
About the Role
As a key member of our small team, you will:
- Welcome and assist customers in a warm and professional manner
- Offer guidance and product recommendations
- Process sales and customer orders using our point-of-sale system
- Receive, unpack and organise deliveries
- Replenish stock and merchandise displays
- Maintain the high standards of presentation and cleanliness throughout the shop
- Confidently manage the shop and customer enquiries during quieter periods when working independently
What We're Looking For
We are more interested in attitude and aptitude than extensive retail experience. The successful candidate will be:
- Friendly, approachable and naturally engaging with customers
- Reliable, punctual and committed to working Sundays on a regular basis
- Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative
- Organised, efficient and calm under pressure
- A quick learner with good attention to detail
- Computer literate
- Genuinely interested in interiors, home décor and helping customers find the right products
Many of our customers visit us seeking advice, inspiration and assistance, so excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude are essential.
