Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic processing of laundry within our facility. . Duties
- Collect, sort, and load laundry items into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Fold, iron, and package clean linen and clothing items for distribution or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
- Monitor laundry cycles and ensure timely completion of all tasks
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to laundry operations
