Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify faults or issues
- Repair and replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to guide repairs and assembly processes
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre replacements, and system checks
- Assist with the assembly of new vehicles or equipment as required
- Carry out welding tasks to repair or modify metal parts and structures
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Handle heavy lifting safely when manoeuvring parts or equipment
Skills
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and mechanical diagrams
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment for repairs and assembly
- Skilled in performing maintenance tasks across various vehicle types and machinery
- Competence in welding techniques for metal repairs or modifications
- Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about repair processes
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of parts or equipment
