Description
This is an opportunity for a labourer to join our team, working alongside experienced and skilled engineers. As part of your role, you will cover the following:
§ Overseeing the day to day running of our workshops, such as maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of yard, workshop, kitchen and storage areas
§ Carrying out work on company products as part of the servicing and overhauling process, such as stripping cylinder heads, cleaning, washing, grit blasting and painting components
§ Delivering and collecting parts and components from site
§ Maintaining company equipment and machinery
§ During this process, you will learn how to follow company procedures and processes, documentation, Health and Safety legislation, safe use a variety of machinery, tooling, and equipment, safe manual handling and lifting techniques.
Working Week
Workshop - Monday – Friday 0800 – 1600
Standard working week – 40 hours (paid breaks)
As is normal with this type of work, overtime and weekend work will be required, and can be at short notice. You must have the willingness and flexibility to accommodate this if necessary.
Requirements
As a member of our team at ABC Power Ltd, there are expectations and requirements placed upon yourself:
§ Practically minded with a willingness to learn and apply what is shown in a safe manner
§ Good communication skills, ability to follow procedure and complete necessary documentation
§ Ability to work as part of a team
§ Good reliability and time keeping
§ A full, clean driving licence
§ Be physically fit and able to manually lift heavy loads
