Job Overview
TTC Lifting Gear Ltd are a UK Manufacturer of Web Slings / Lifting Slings and we are looking to add an additional skilled Heavy-Duty Sewing Machinist to our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
- Sew and assemble products according to specifications and quality standards
- Work with thick and durable materials including leather, canvas, and similar fabrics
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain sewing machines and report any faults or maintenance needs
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines
- Work collaboratively with the production team and supervisors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sewing machinist, preferably with heavy-duty materials
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines confidently
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good understanding of different fabrics and stitching techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting targets
Desirable Skills:
- Basic machine maintenance knowledge
- Ability to read patterns or technical drawings
Hours of work are:
Monday - Thursday - 8.30am-5.00pm
Friday - 8.30am-4.00pm
Pay: £13.00 per hour
