As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to maintain the high standards the pub has become known for.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef looking to take the next step within a quality-driven kitchen.
You will be passionate about fresh produce, thrive in a busy service environment, and enjoy leading and developing junior members of the brigade.
As Sous Chef you will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen
- Lead and motivate the brigade during service
- Help maintain exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
- Assist with menu development using seasonal ingredients
- Train and mentor junior chefs
- Manage stock control and minimise wastage
- Ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background and experience within a quality gastro pub, restaurant, or hotel environment where high standards are expected throughout service.
