Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates on care plans.
- Engage residents in social activities and promote a positive atmosphere within the care environment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe living environment for all residents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and staff.
- Ability to drive is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes are beneficial.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care is crucial.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is required.
