Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various environments, including residential and healthcare settings. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy to meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, folding, and ironing clothes (when required).
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Follow specific cleaning protocols for different environments
- Support other staff members as needed to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or domestic assistance is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and products used in care home environments is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team setting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
