Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide friendly, efficient service to enhance their experience.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or light meals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including counters, tables, equipment, and storage spaces.
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure all products are prepared and served hygienically.
- Manage cash register transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service at the point of sale.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks to keep supplies well-stocked and fresh.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently without compromising quality or service speed.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when needed.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques relevant to cafe offerings will be an advantage.
