Job Overview:
The Sales & Events Executive is responsible for generating revenue through proactive sales activity while managing the planning and coordination of events across corporate, social, wedding, and leisure markets. The role acts as the primary point of contact for clients from enquiry through to event completion, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and delivery in line with Stoke Park's luxury brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate, social, wedding and private event opportunities.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through proactive business development.
- Identify opportunities to upsell accommodation, catering, leisure, spa, golf and ancillary services.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with local businesses, event agencies, wedding planners and key stakeholders to generate referrals and repeat business.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Manage events from initial enquiry through to post-event evaluation.
- Lead client planning meetings and coordinate all event requirements.
- Produce detailed function sheets and event briefs for operational teams.
- Conduct pre-event and post-event reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
- Act as the main client contact on event days where required, ensuring seamless delivery and guest satisfaction.
Events Revenue & Performance
- Maximise event profitability through effective pricing and upselling.
- Monitor event revenue, conversion rates and enquiry performance.
- Maintain accurate data within the CRM and event management systems.
- Prepare sales and events reports for the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to increase event bookings and revenue streams.
Client Experience
- Create memorable guest experiences that encourage repeat business and positive recommendations.
- Obtain and analyse client feedback following events.
- Maintain strong relationships with repeat clients and VIP guests.
- Represent Stoke Park professionally and act as an ambassador for the brand at all times.
General Responsibilities:
- All employees are expected to be fully familiar with, and adhere to, the hotel’s policies and procedures relating to fire safety, emergency evacuation, first aid, health and safety, and security.
- Staff must also ensure they understand and follow the guidance outlined in the Employee Handbook, as well as any relevant notices displayed in key operational areas throughout the estate.
- Employees may be asked to cover for their colleagues as part of business requirement as well as cross-functional training.
