Responsibilities
- Safely operate medium and large vans to transport goods across designated routes.
- Load, secure, and unload heavy cargo efficiently, ensuring all items are handled with care and proper safety measures.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to guarantee secure deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to confirm delivery schedules and address any route adjustments.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before each journey.
- Obtain signatures and complete delivery documentation accurately to confirm receipt of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior throughout your shift.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving background.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Previous experience handling delivery logistics, including loading/unloading cargo and route planning.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo securement
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
