The Role
Health, Safety and Compliance Manager
FTE up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
3 days per week / 22.5 hours
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead, develop, and promote a positive Health, Safety and Compliance culture across the organisation, ensuring that all operational activities are carried out safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practice.
You will support multiple locations across Manchester and be responsible for monitoring statutory compliance, implementing effective health and safety management systems, conducting investigations and audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimise risk and maintain a safe working environment.
Essential experience:
- 5 years experience in a front line HSE role
- TECH IOSH or higher
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- H&S Legislation
- Strong knowledge of safety, health environment and quality management systems
- Experience in developing and implementing safety and quality programs.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and managing incident investigations.
- Experience in waste, manufacturing, or logistics context
- Production of Management and Board Reports
