Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Digger Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to assist with various earthmoving tasks on-site. The role will be based at the Company's various golf courses and development sites. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment is crucial. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while developing your technical skills and experience within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery safely and effectively according to project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, trenching, and loading materials as required.
- Assist with maintenance of the company fleet
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in a construction or civil engineering setting.
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Strong commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Pay: £12.96-£15.00 per hour
