We have opportunities for experienced 7.5 tonne Drivers to join our Transport team based at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery.
You will be delivering Birds’ freshly made produce to our shops and returning empty racks and cabinets to the Bakery.
Duties to include:
- Load / unload vehicles; manual handling of rolling equipment and no hand balling involved.
- Ensure vehicle loads are safe and secured with the appropriate restraints as per Company procedures / Safe Systems of Work.
- Perform daily vehicle defect checks and log as necessary.
We have vacancies for full time drivers at 42 hours per week, with various shift patterns available, starting at 3.30am/4am, working up to 6 out of 7-days to cover our 7-day operation.
Applicants will ideally have a good knowledge of the local area but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
Essential Requirements:
Applicants must be of smart appearance, hold a C1 Licence, valid CPC Driver Qualification Card, Digi-Card and have a UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points (though a clean licence is preferrable).
Hours: 42 hours per week
Rate £14.89 per hour
