Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Farsi-speaking Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to clients in various settings, including Supported living Accommodation, in home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in Farsi and have a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs. This role involves delivering personalised care to enhance clients' wellbeing, independence, and comfort, and require a commitment to professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to clients with a range of needs, including elderly care, dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, and general senior care.
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene routines.
- Support clients with mobility through heavy lifting when necessary and ensure their safety during movement or transfers.
- Manage behaviour effectively and employ behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions.
- Administer first aid when required and respond appropriately to emergencies or health concerns.
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings as needed, maintaining compliance with road safety regulations.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, organising personal spaces, and meal planning/preparation.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals or family members.
- Provide practical guidance and emotional support to families and children.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal preparation.
- Work with clients on rehabilitation programs and community outings.

Requirements
- Fluency in Farsi is essential; proficiency in English is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in assisted living, environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, behavioural management techniques, and medication administration is advantageous.

- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training upon hiring is required.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when supporting vulnerable individuals.
