Term Time Only, 1.5hrs per day, 5 days per week
Are you caring, patient and enthusiastic about supporting children to thrive? We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Midday Supervisor to provide individual support for a pupil during lunchtime, helping them to enjoy a positive, safe and engaging lunchtime experience.
Working as part of our friendly lunchtime team, you will support the child during both lunch in the dining area and outdoor/indoor playtime. You will help encourage positive social interactions, support the child's individual needs, promote independence, and ensure their safety and wellbeing throughout the lunchtime period.
This rewarding role would suit someone who enjoys working with children, is calm and nurturing, and can build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Previous experience of working with children, particularly those with additional needs, would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support during lunchtime and playtime.
- Encourage positive social interaction and engagement with peers.
- Support the child with transitions between lunch and play activities.
- Promote the child's independence, confidence and wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe, secure and inclusive environment.
- Liaise effectively with teaching staff and the SENCo regarding the child's needs and progress.
- Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety procedures at all times.
