Runs the room. Backs the team. Never drops the ball.
Multi-site — Fitzrovia & Notting Hill
£30,000–£32,000 per year + commission
We're looking for the person who walks onto a salon floor and the whole room settles. The one who remembers every regular's name, spots a booking gap before it becomes a problem, and has the team's back without ever letting standards slip.
If that's you, keep reading.
Who we are
We're SCL, and we. love. your. hair. We love making it glossy, fresh, dimensional: every shade from inky dark to sun-struck blonde. We do it across three London salons, a stylist co-working space, and a pro-level haircare range. All independent. All women-owned. All built on the belief that hair should feel great: fun, indulgent, never intimidating.
We're looking for a Salon Manager to take full ownership of our Fitzrovia and Notting Hill salons and make sure every guest at both leaves feeling like the best version of themselves.
The role
This is genuine multi-site leadership, not one manager stretched thin across a rota. You'll hold full operational ownership of both salons, with a Creative/Floor Manager providing permanent floor leadership at each site day to day. Your job is the bigger picture: the team, the guest experience, the numbers, and making sure both salons run like each one is the only one that matters.
Designed to start with Fitzrovia and Notting Hill, with real room to grow into a wider multi-site remit further down the line.
What you'll actually be doing
Site & team leadership
- Take full operational ownership of both salons, driving performance and standards across each team.
- Lead the front-of-house team directly, and support both Creative/Floor Managers who run the floor day to day.
- Recruit, onboard and train front-of-house staff, apprentices and Creative/Floor Managers alike.
- Own rotas, staffing levels and diary optimisation across both sites.
Guest & commercial
- Protect guest experience and service standards, and act as the day-to-day bridge between Creatives and management.
- Handle the complex complaints personally, and turn them into stronger client relationships.
- Own retail and rebooking performance, plus the wider commercial picture: KPIs, sales, budgeting and cost control alongside Finance.
- Keep memberships, Club SCL and our reviews and reputation in great shape.
Systems & operations
- Oversee HyperConnect and our AI booking systems, plus the general admin that keeps both sites running smoothly.
- Manage stock and ordering across both salons: inventory, suppliers, deliveries, no last-minute scrambles.
- Keep both spaces in top form, coordinating repairs, equipment and renovations as needed.
- Stay on top of health and safety: workstation checks, first aid logging, and acting as designated Fire Marshal.
Growth & connection
- Stay sharp on trends, techniques and products, and guide the Creative team accordingly.
- Lead events, training, activations and marketing initiatives that genuinely bring in clients.
- Partner with both Creative/Floor Managers to keep standards consistent across sites, and act as the bridge to Group Operations.
- Set the KPIs, report on them properly, and keep morale genuinely high through team-building and incentives.
What you bring
- You're a natural people person: confident, kind, and completely unflappable under pressure.
- You've led a team through other managers before, not just a single floor. Multi-site or multi-department experience is a big plus.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate easily, especially across two teams at once.
- You're commercially minded. Budgets, KPIs and cost control don't faze you.
- You're comfortable with booking systems and salon tech generally. Nothing fazes you.
- You genuinely love service, people, and building a brilliant client journey.
- You can run two rooms at once without losing your calm or your standards.
As one of London's few major women-owned salon groups, we take real pride in building a team culture rooted in empowerment, inclusivity and genuine career progression, not just for our guests, but for everyone on our team too.
Ready?
We don't just do hair, we create joy, confidence and community. As Salon Manager, you'll be right at the centre of that. Apply now and let's build something brilliant together.
