Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced motivated and energetic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Operate mechanical equipment including excavators, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards and address them promptly
- Maintain garden beds, lawns, pathways, and other outdoor features with precision and care
- Assist with construction or installation projects related to landscaping or outdoor infrastructure
- Use hand tools effectively for trimming, digging, planting, and other maintenance activities
- Support general site maintenance including cleaning, fencing repairs, and equipment servicing to ensure a safe environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable
- Basic mechanical knowledge to operate equipment such as excavators and power tools confidently
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus
- Ability to handle hand tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks
- Construction experience or knowledge of outdoor construction practices is advantageous
- Strong interest in horticulture with a desire to learn about plant care and garden design
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward grounds upkeep

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
