Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bench Joiner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality wooden components and furniture pieces through precise fabrication and assembly. Responsibilities
- Fabricate wooden components by accurately measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise construction of joinery pieces
- Assemble furniture, cabinetry, or bespoke woodwork with attention to detail and quality standards
- Operate a range of tools including saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products to facilitate smooth workflow
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Assist with finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, or painting to achieve the desired aesthetic
Skills
- Proven experience in fabrication, carpentry, or joinery with a strong understanding of construction principles
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with good communication abilities
Pay: £15.50-£18.00 per hour
