Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, supporting their developmental needs in a safe and nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education and childcare management to make a positive impact on young lives. The position is for term time only and paid via an annualised salary.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s curiosity and independence.
- Monitor and record children's progress, maintaining detailed developmental records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, dressing, toileting, and rest periods.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed to maintain a secure environment for children and staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or trainees within the nursery setting.
- Maintain organised records of attendance, activities, and incidents in line with organisational policies.
- Contribute to the organisation of nursery resources and ensure the environment is stimulating and well-maintained.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles.
- Previous experience in childcare management or leadership roles is highly desirable but not essential.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous.

Pay: From £1,420.00 per month
