Dunbar Garden Centre is looking for enthusiastic and reliable General Assistants to join our team for the busy autumn and Christmas season. This fixed‑term role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, being hands‑on, and supporting a friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service
- Assisting with stock replenishment and merchandising
- Keeping shop floor areas clean, tidy, and well presented
- Supporting seasonal displays and Christmas retail setup
- Helping customers with enquiries and product information
- Working as part of a team to maintain smooth daily operations
About You
- Friendly, positive, and customer‑focused
- Able to work in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Comfortable with manual tasks
- Reliable and punctual
- Happy to work weekends as required
Dunbar is a busy garden centre so you must be able to work at pace during peak times and maintain high standards. You will be professional, reliable and a good time-keeper. The role can be physically demanding at times due to the nature of our business, and you therefore must be able to deal with the rigours of this type of retail environment including lifting/moving heavy items.
