Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Fitter to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring vehicle bodies with precision and attention to detail. Duties
- Constructing vehicle bodies according to technical specifications and design plans
- MIG/ TIG welding of steel & Aluminium
- Repairing and restoring damaged or worn vehicle panels and structures
- Using hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble components
- Performing heavy lifting of vehicle parts and materials safely and efficiently
- Applying finishing techniques such as sanding, polishing, and painting as required
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and quality control procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle structures and assembly processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and sanders
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling large or bulky parts regularly
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings and instructions
- Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods in a demanding environment
Working hours -
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
