Responsibilities
- Operate excavation equipment such as excavators to install underground drainage
- Use hand tools and power tools to install new drainage pipes.
- Conduct tasks including general site upkeep to support drainage infrastructure.
- Inspect systems and perform necessary testing of pipes to ensure no leaks .
- Assist with construction projects related to drainage upgrades or new installations, following safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team ensure all equipment functions efficiently.
Skills
- experience in piplelaying essential with a focus on outdoor drainage projects.
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and construction machinery such as excavators.
- Strong understanding of drainage systems, and general construction practices.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting project progress or issues.
