Job Overview
Specialist Group is seeking a professional, organised and personable Front of House / Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for visitors, customers and incoming enquiries, you will play an important role in representing the business and creating a welcoming, professional experience.
The primary focus of the position will be reception and front-of-house duties, alongside providing flexible administrative support to different areas of the business as required.
Front of House & Reception
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, customers and other external stakeholders.
- Welcome visitors to the business in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls to the appropriate person or department.
- Monitor incoming general emails and ensure enquiries are responded to or directed appropriately.
- Manage visitor sign-in and other relevant front-of-house procedures.
- Maintain a professional, organised and welcoming reception/front-of-house environment.
- Handle general enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the office and reception area.
Administrative Support
Alongside your core front-of-house responsibilities, you will provide ad hoc administrative support across the business. This could include:
- Assisting different departments with general administrative tasks when required.
- Supporting the Commercial team with basic administration, documentation or coordination.
- Assisting with travel arrangements and coordination where required.
- Helping to organise meetings, appointments and internal activities.
- Preparing or updating basic documents, records and information.
- Providing general administrative relief to colleagues during busy periods.
- Taking ownership of other reasonable administrative tasks as they arise.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:

- A strong communicator, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Professional and able to represent the business positively.
- Well organised with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing several small tasks and changing priorities.
- Reliable, proactive and willing to help others.
- Confident using email and standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to handle information with appropriate discretion and confidentiality.
- Comfortable working independently while also supporting a wider team.
Previous experience within reception, front of house, customer service or an administrative role would be beneficial, although attitude, organisation and communication skills will be equally important.
