Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting on behalf of a care provider seeking a strong, ambitious and quality-focused Registered Manager to lead a residential care home in Leicester.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who is not afraid to challenge the status quo. The home has significant potential, and the successful candidate will be responsible for bringing the service forward, modernising outdated practices and embedding a stronger culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and development of the home, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care while driving meaningful improvements across the service.
You will be someone who can confidently identify what isn't working, develop practical solutions and, importantly, make things happen.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing strong, visible leadership across the home.
Taking ownership of the service and driving a clear improvement agenda.
Reviewing and modernising outdated processes, systems and practices.
Raising standards of care, compliance and service delivery.
Ensuring the home is consistently meeting regulatory and quality requirements.
Developing and motivating a strong, accountable staff team.
Embedding a positive culture focused on residents, quality and continuous improvement.
Working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective action plans.
Ensuring the service is well prepared for regulatory inspections.
Promoting excellent outcomes and experiences for residents.
About You
We are looking for an exceptionally strong and experienced Registered Manager who has a proven track record of leading residential care services.
You will ideally have experience of turnaround management, service improvement or taking an established service through a period of significant positive change.
You should be:
An experienced Registered Manager with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
A confident and decisive leader who can take ownership and drive change.
Quality-focused, with high standards and attention to detail.
Experienced in identifying and addressing poor or outdated practices.
Commercially aware while remaining firmly focused on resident outcomes.
Skilled at developing, challenging and motivating teams.
Resilient and confident working through periods of change.
Passionate about delivering excellent care and improving services.
Someone who leads from the front and is comfortable making difficult decisions when required.
Most importantly, we need a manager who wants to make a difference. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We are looking for an individual who can look at a service, recognise its potential and have the leadership, experience and determination to take it to the next level.
