About the Role:
We are looking for a calm, friendly and reliable female Support Worker/Driver (25+) to support a male with limited mobility who uses both an electric and manual wheelchair. He requires structured daytime support, assistance with personal care, and help with mobility including hoist use. He experiences high anxiety due to past trauma and feels safest with female staff who are warm, reassuring and gentle - bubbly but not overly loud. He prefers staff who do not smoke. A positive, steady manner helps him feel secure, and you will work as part of a 2:1 team with an experienced colleague.
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves driving and accompanying him to appointments and community activities, supporting personal care routines, and assisting with mobility needs including hoist use and wheelchair support. You will help provide structure to his day, maintain a calm and reassuring presence, and work as part of a 2:1 team. We are looking for a female applicant aged 25+ who is a confident driver, experienced or comfortable supporting someone with mobility needs, able to remain patient during periods of anxiety, and able to follow clear routines without making advance plans with him. A friendly, positive and reassuring manner is essential.
