We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Chef to join our culinary team. This role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in the planning and presentation of daily menus
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and served promptly to meet customer expectations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a kitchen setting, ideally with restaurant experience
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with serving food is advantageous but not essential; willingness to assist in serving is expected
