VACANCY: Welder
LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)
Shift Pattern - Friday - Sunday 3 x 12 hour days 6am-6pm.
Salary - £23.50 per hour

MTL Advanced is hiring due to a major expansion, marked by the opening of our brand-new manufacturing facility, based in Rotherham just 5 minutes away from Meadowhall shopping centre.

Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
· Perform welding activities on carbon steel, armour steel, aluminium
· Weld various joint configurations in all positions
· Ensure equipment parameters are set to the optimum to fully satisfy weld quality, integrity,
· and WPS requirements
· Review engineering drawings for parts to be welded
· Satisfy production schedules to the correct quality level and within the specified time scale
· Carry out and record the daily / weekly / monthly maintenance checks and record the necessary safety checks
· Ensure correct marking up of component parts
· Ensure that the labelling system is adhered to
ABOUT YOU:
· Recent / relevant Welding / Fabrication Experience
· Understanding of quality procedures and specific customer requirements
· Ideally a coded welder
· Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures
· Proficient with metal fabrication tools
· Advanced mathematical and engineering skills
· Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
· Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas
