Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and experienced Class 1 Night Drivers
you will be required to deliver caged and pallet goods for a well know Retail brand, this could be Depot Trunking, backloads. or store deliveries where you may occasionally be required to assist with unloading; however, the majority of deliveries are unloaded by the store, so generally only needing to open the trailer curtains.
Fleet is mixed of the following
- single deck-curtain-sided trailers,
- Single deck box trailers
- double-deck curtain - sided trailers.
Pay
- NIghts £19.25 or £21.50 with holiday pay
- Sat Night £22.34 or £25 with holiday pay
- Sun Night £23.50 or £26 with Holiday pay
Night shift start times are typically between 14:00 and 17:00
Average working night
- Around 9 hours on store delivery routes
- Around 11 hours on trunking operations
Duties
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Secure loads properly , ensuring all cargo is transported safely and securely.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures throughout each journey.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate any issues or delays with the transport office
Skills
- Valid class 1 driving licence
- Over 21 years
- No more than 6 penalty points - No CD, DD,DR or IN10
- Valid CPC card
- Valid Digi Card
Pay: £21.50-£26.00 per hour
