Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of motor vehicles and equipment using schematics and technical manuals to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, transmission work, and suspension adjustments.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret schematics and mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment to handle large parts or components.
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, repairs, and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and ensuring timely completion of work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or in a similar mechanical repair role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical principles, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a workshop environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
- Exceptional customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members about repair needs and progress.
