Project Support Officer
Providing Essential Administrative and Project Support
We're recruiting a Project Support Officer (Grade 4) to join a busy administrative team, providing high-quality secretarial and business support services. This role is key to supporting day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth project coordination, and maintaining efficient office systems.
This role is ideal for an organised, reliable, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced administrative environment and supporting multiple stakeholders, particularly within Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) processes.
About the Role:
As a Project Support Officer, you'll provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to teams and projects, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. You will also play a key role in coordinating and supporting the statutory EHCP processes.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee the development of high-quality and timely Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Actively engage in the planning and coordination of EHCPs to ensure statutory duties under Part 3 of the Children & Families Act 2014 are met
- Collate information from relevant professionals, parents, and stakeholders to support EHCP preparation
- Manage communications related to EHCP processes, ensuring clear and professional correspondence
- Conduct audits and maintain records in line with corporate policies and statutory requirements
- Support the SEND service in delivering timely and accurate statutory duties
- Providing day-to-day business support and secretarial assistance
- Maintaining accurate records, files, and data systems
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes where required
- Assisting with data entry, reports, and general office administration
- Working closely with internal teams to meet service deadlines and priorities
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for a dependable and well-organised administrator who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Knowledge of statutory requirements under the Children & Families Act 2014, particularly Part 3
- Experience in coordinating Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills with children, parents, and professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority SEND service
- Familiarity with auditing procedures and quality assurance processes
- Knowledge of local and national SEND policies and guidance
