Job Purpose
To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout The Hive London, ensuring all communal areas, offices, meeting rooms, and facilities are cleaned and presented to a high standard for members, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily cleaning duties across all areas of the building, including offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, kitchens, toilets, corridors, and communal spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as required.
- Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, equipment, and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain kitchen and break areas, ensuring they remain clean, hygienic, and fully stocked where applicable.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, health and safety concerns, or stock shortages to management.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is used safely and stored appropriately after use.
- Follow all health and safety policies, COSHH regulations, and company procedures.
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks and additional cleaning requirements as requested.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working in occupied office and coworking spaces.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, office, hospitality, or similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Understanding of basic health and safety practices.
Desirable
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Experience working within shared office, coworking, or community environments.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and products.

Working Hours
Hours to be agreed, with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on operational requirements.
