This Outstanding nursery in Lewes is recruiting a Level 3 Early Years Educator.
The starting salary is £13.50ph - £14.00 per hour. You'll work with a supportive floor-based Manager and a lovely team.
We encourage children to learn and they are engaged, happy and great fun to be around. The team is settled and happy and everyone makes a valuable contribution to the smooth running of the setting.
There is plenty of variety. We have an outdoor classroom for free-flow learning and play. We use a nature field across the road for Forest School; the children take regular walks to the duck pond, Lewes castle and the town’s beautiful parks and gardens; and we run extra-activities such as yoga in the classroom.
The Manager will support you as you learn our routines and planning and the parents are super supportive of our educational approach.
Our normal working week is 40 hours. Write to us if you interested in shorter hours.
We are open all-year-round. There is car parking close by, the train station is a 10-minute walk and we’re on the main bus routes.

Responsibilities
· To get to know the children and their families. (You’ll develop a strong bond with children and parents and become an important part of their family life.)
· To help the children learn new skills and independence.
· To plan the children’s activities. Our paperwork is kept to a minimum so you can spend time with the children.
Candidate requirements
· Level 3 Childcare qualification or above.
· Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
· You’ll need to be articulate and confident. You’ll be a Key Person capable of developing a partnership with parents.
· Forest School qualifications would be beneficial as would an interest in Montessori.
