Mobile Refrigeration Engineer – £55,000 – North West
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established company covering the North West and M62 Corridor. This role offers a strong salary package, door-to-door travel, low call-out volume, and work across major retail and distribution clients.
Package
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE
- Hours: 40-hour working week
- Travel: Door-to-Door paid
- Vehicle: Company van + fuel card
- Personal Use: TBC
- Holiday: 25 days
- Sick Pay: TBC
- On-Call: 1 in 4 (low volume of out-of-hours call-outs)
- Standby: £200 per week
- Overtime: £25–£30 per hour
Areas Covered
- North West
- M62 Corridor
- Travel south as far as Derby
Contracts
Working mainly with major commercial clients including supermarkets.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, service, and breakdown support across a range of commercial refrigeration systems. This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys working independently across high-profile commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems
- Fault finding and reactive breakdown attendance
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensure all compliance paperwork is completed accurately
- Maintain excellent client relationships across key accounts
- Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid F-Gas qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration
- Strong fault-finding and service background
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently across a mobile patch
