Overview
Seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to take over the teacher role for Bloom Baby Classes North Leeds & Wetherby whilst the owner is on maternity leave from October/November (exact dates tbc). *For the ideal candidate, there is the potential opportunity for an ongoing position working alongside the owner upon their return.*
Bloom Baby Classes are multi-sensory development classes designed to promote bonding and support early development. Classes are for babies aged 0 (recommended 6 weeks) to approximately 15 months. We run 2 different age range classes: Caterpillar Club – 0-6 months (rolling/sitting), and Busy Bees – 6-15 months (rolling/sitting – first steps/toddling).
The role
Working on a self-employed basis teaching classes within school hours, a minimum of 3 mornings/early afternoons per week following the current timetable. Storing, transporting and maintaining the core kit/resources used in classes each week as well as a selection of weekly theme resources. Setting up and packing away all kit before and after classes.
The current timetable is well established. Classes run in term-based blocks that broadly follow school half terms, usually for six consecutive weeks, although this can vary depending on the length of each half term. Due to venue availability, the days cannot be changed, but class times can be discussed and adjusted if needed. Classes mainly run during term time, with a shorter summer holiday term and occasional seasonal sessions, such as Halloween specials. There may also be opportunities to earn additional income through optional weekend specials, nursery sessions, and birthday parties. If demand is sufficient, we can also add more classes to the timetable at current venues. Term-time-only work can be accommodated if preferred. And if you wish to work more than 3 days per week, there is the potential to source further venues for additional days.
Regular cleaning is involved to ensure the kit used for classes remains in good condition and that the environment and resources are clean for the babies. This is a very basic level of cleaning i.e. spraying and wiping down resources.
