Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals at multiple destinations
- Secure loads properly on trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and driver’s logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and customers during deliveries
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, and delivery routes
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads on flatbeds and performing vehicle inspections
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules
- Good communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
