Responsibilities
- Creating hand-tied bouquets and bespoke floral arrangements.
- Designing and preparing wedding and funeral flowers.
- Conditioning and caring for fresh flowers and plants.
- Serving customers and offering excellent customer service.
- Taking orders in person and over the phone.
- Receiving and managing flower deliveries and stock.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and attractive shop environment.
- Helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the florist.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years' hands-on experience working as a florist. This is an essential requirement for the role.
- Confident in all aspects of floristry, including hand-tied bouquets, bespoke floral arrangements, wedding and funeral work.
- Passionate about flowers with a creative eye and excellent attention to detail.
- Friendly, professional and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
- Able to work independently, use initiative and also work well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Must be willing and available to work additional hours during peak trading periods, including busy seasonal occasions such as Valentines Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas, when required.
