About the role
Simply Beautiful Print is a large format print and signage business in Hailsham, East Sussex — and the work is anything but ordinary. We build exhibition stands for the likes of Paramount and Rémy Martin, event branding for Formula One, and projects for Aston Martin, Porsche and Rolls-Royce. We now need a skilled, hands-on sign maker to join the production team: someone who takes real pride in a well-made sign, and who has the installation experience to take ownership of our fitting work. If you want the kind of work that makes people look twice, this is where you'll find it.
Most of your week will be in the workshop. But when a job needs installing, you'll be the one we trust to survey it, fit it and hand it over to a happy customer — working independently or leading the install, depending on the project. That installation experience is essential for this role: it's the capability we're hiring for alongside your production skills.
In the workshop (the majority of the role) you'll be:
- Producing and finishing signage — cutting, laminating and mounting printed graphics
- Applying vinyl graphics to panels, windows and vehicles in-house
- Working with a serious kit list: Agfa Avinci 3.2m dye sublimation with Klieverik calender, Agfa 3.2m hybrid UV, Canon Colorado M5, HP Latex 800W, Trotec laser, Kongsberg CNC finishing table, laminating and sewing equipment — full training provided
- Preparing materials and keeping jobs moving across multiple deadlines
Out on site (as jobs require) you'll be:
- Installing internal and external signage to a professional standard — fascias, tray signs, window graphics, wall graphics, exhibition and event branding
- Fitting vehicle graphics, with the chance to train up on full vehicle wrapping
- Carrying out site surveys and reporting accurate measurements and photos back to the office
- Solving the practical problems every install throws up, safely and confidently
- Representing us well on customer premises — you're the face of the business on site
What we're looking for
- Proven signage installation experience — you can turn up to a site and fit confidently without supervision (essential)
- Strong practical making and finishing skills with real attention to detail
- Good communication and a reliable, professional approach
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site
Nice to have (not essential): large format print production experience, IPAF, PASMA or CSCS tickets, or vehicle wrapping experience. We'll train the right person on the print side.
