We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Nursery Cook. The position is for 16 hours per week, between 8am and 5pm (Tuesday and Wednesday, but this can be negitiated if needed).
The successful applicant will be required to:
1: Provide nutritious and well presented meals, suitable for children and babies, under the age of five, according to the current nursery menus.
2: Maintain a high standard of hygiene at all times following infection / cross contamination control procedures.
3: Have an awareness and understanding of Special Dietary Needs, referring to food allergies, food intolerances, cultural needs, vegetarian requirements and any other, according to the red list policy.
4: Be able to update and manage the Safer Food, Better Business file daily and to follow standard food hygiene procedures (e.g. food temperature checks and monitoring; recording this daily).
In order to be considered for the role of Nursery Cook, you will need a passionate and positive attitude, catering experience within an early years or school environment (desirable but not essential). A relevant Food and Hygiene qualification (again, desirable but not essential).
