Duties
- Build trusting relationships with children and young people, offering consistent emotional support and encouragement
- Develop and implement individualized support plans that promote social, emotional, and educational growth
- Facilitate engaging activities that enhance life skills, teamwork, and self-esteem
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to coordinate care and support strategies
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to ensure positive outcomes for each young person
- Assist in managing challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, activities, and progress reports in compliance with organizational policies
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in educational or youth-focused settings
- Strong knowledge of teaching methods, mentoring techniques, and youth work best practices
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with young people, families, and team members
- Ability to adapt approaches to meet the diverse needs of children with special education requirements or behavioral challenges
- Passion for supporting youth development through engaging activities and meaningful guidance
- Relevant qualifications in education, social work, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with the energy to inspire and motivate young individuals toward positive change
