Langley House Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a Night Security Officer to join our dedicated team in Strood. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week. About the Role
- Work in partnership with project staff in line with the Trust’s Lone Worker Policy, ensuring residents, visitors and staff receive a safe, professional and high-quality service at all times.
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment across the premises and grounds, including actively monitoring the physical security of the hostel, outbuildings and restricted or locked areas.
- Take responsibility for emergency procedures when required, responding appropriately to incidents and liaising with the Police or other emergency services where necessary.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of security systems and support day-to-day access control, including the issuing and return of residents’ keys and ensuring all access points are properly secured.
- Carry out practical duties that support the smooth running and safety of the service, including kitchen and office cleaning, regular security checks, and reporting faulty or misplaced firefighting equipment to the Hostel Manager.

- Confident working alone and following safety procedures.
- Good communication skills with clients, visitors and staff.
- Able to respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
- Organised, observant and confident completing checks and records.
- Flexible and willing to support practical tasks as needed.
