KS-Elec Ltd is an established electrical contractor based on the Wirral, providing electrical services throughout the North West. We work with social housing providers, letting agents, commercial clients, developers and private customers, delivering everything from responsive maintenance and rewires to testing, remedial works and larger installation projects.
Due to continued growth and new contract wins, we are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team.
The role will primarily involve carrying out social housing rewires, responsive repairs, EICRs and remedial works, alongside electrical maintenance and installation work across our other client base. No two days are the same, giving you a varied workload with long-term job security.
What you'll be doing
- Full and partial rewires in occupied and void social housing properties.
- Responsive electrical repairs and fault finding.
- Consumer unit replacements.
- EICRs and remedial works.
- Domestic and commercial maintenance.
- Small installation works, including kitchens, bathrooms and extensions.
- Fire alarm and emergency lighting works.
- Solar PV installations (experience beneficial but not essential).
- Assisting on larger installation projects when required.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Diagnose electrical faults quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with BS7671 and current Building Regulations.
- Complete digital job sheets and upload clear photographic evidence for every job.
- Provide a professional and courteous service when working in occupied properties.
- Respect customers' homes by keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Communicate professionally with customers, tenants and office staff.
- Work safely and follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Take pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.
What we're looking for
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience carrying out domestic electrical work.
- Experience with rewires, consumer unit replacements, EICRs and remedial works is preferred.
- Previous social housing experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working in occupied domestic properties is preferred.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Solar PV experience is beneficial but not essential.
Essential Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds Level 3.
- AM2.
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
