Brand-New Children's Home | Sutton Coldfield | Waking Night Residential Support Worker
While most people are asleep, you'll be helping to create a safe, calm, and reassuring environment for children and young people who need consistency, care, and support throughout the night.
We're opening a brand-new children's home in Sutton Coldfield and are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Waking Night Residential Support Workers to join our team.
This is more than a night shift - it's an opportunity to make young people feel safe, secure, and cared for when they need it most.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing overnight care and support to children and young people.
- Maintaining a safe, calm, and nurturing environment throughout the night.
- Completing regular welfare checks and responding to the needs of young people.
- Supporting children who may wake during the night, offering reassurance and emotional support.
- Completing household tasks to ensure the home is ready for the day ahead.
- Writing clear and accurate records, handovers, and incident reports.
- Working closely with the daytime team to ensure continuity of care.
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of every young person.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Is calm, patient, and compassionate.
- Can work independently and make confident decisions.
- Has excellent observation and communication skills.
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing outstanding care.
- Has experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
