Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker/Packer to join our clients warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing products to ensure timely dispatch. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who are organised, detail-oriented, and physically capable of handling heavy loads. Prior knowledge of warehouse management systems, materials handling, and shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable. The position provides full training and the chance to develop skills within a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick items from stock using order sheets or warehouse management systems to fulfil customer orders
- Pack products securely, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for shipment
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for stock movement and load handling (training provided)
- Load and unload lorries, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing goods
- Maintain organisation within the warehouse by stocking shelves and ensuring items are stored correctly
- Conduct quality control checks on picked items to prevent errors or damages
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment tasks
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all operations to minimise risks
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all operational procedures
- Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software is desirable
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes, picking & packing, and stock control will be beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, with good physical stamina for long shifts
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery can be an asset
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfilment and inventory management
Offering shifts of
Monday to Friday
6pm - 12am or 4.30pm to 12.30am
