Job Summary:
NxGenBio Biotechnology Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Senior Laboratory Operations Manager to lead laboratory operations, oversee scientific support functions, and ensure the efficient delivery of biotechnology research and testing services. The role focuses on optimizing laboratory workflows, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing multidisciplinary teams, and supporting innovation in laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day laboratory operations across biotechnology and research facilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve laboratory efficiency, quality, and productivity
- Oversee laboratory resource planning, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and procurement activities
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, health and safety regulations, and applicable UK regulatory requirements
- Manage laboratory budgets, operational performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with research, quality assurance, and technical teams to support scientific projects and organizational objectives
- Evaluate laboratory technologies and recommend process improvements to enhance operational performance
- Recruit, mentor, and develop laboratory supervisors, scientists, and technical staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Laboratory Management, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Extensive experience in laboratory operations, biotechnology, life sciences, or scientific operations management
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), ISO standards, laboratory safety, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing laboratory equipment, scientific operations, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Professional certifications or memberships in relevant life sciences or laboratory management organizations are advantageous

Pay: £77,000.00-£92,000.00 per year
