A Business Sales Executive in an off-licence/convenience store typically combines sales, customer service, stock management, supplier relations, and business development.
Key job duties
- Drive sales and revenue by promoting products, offers, and new lines.
- Serve customers professionally and understand their needs to encourage repeat business.
- Manage business accounts such as local businesses, restaurants, cafés, pubs, offices, or wholesale customers, where applicable.
- Identify new sales opportunities and develop relationships with potential customers.
- Order stock based on sales trends, customer demand, promotions, and stock levels.
- Monitor inventory and reduce out-of-stock situations, overstocking, waste, and product losses.
- Maintain product displays and ensure shelves, chillers, and promotional areas are attractive and well stocked.
- Implement promotions and pricing and make sure promotional offers are correctly displayed.
- Monitor competitors for pricing, product range, promotions, and customer service.
- Liaise with suppliers and sales representatives regarding orders, deliveries, promotions, new products, and pricing.
- Check deliveries for quantities, product quality, pricing, and discrepancies.
- Handle cash and payments accurately and follow company procedures.
- Meet sales targets/KPIs and prepare or maintain sales reports when required.
- Upsell and cross-sell complementary products to increase average transaction value.
- Ensure legal and store compliance, including age-restricted sales, licensing requirements, health and safety, and company policies.
- Manage customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Support merchandising, including product rotation and ensuring appropriate expiry-date control.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional shop environment.
- Work with the store manager/team to achieve daily and monthly business objectives.
- Support opening/closing procedures and other operational duties when required.
- Full UK driving licence and car will be added advantage

Pay: £33,400.00-£38,700.00 per year
