Weekend Chef
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Weekend Chef to join the kitchen team at Brunchello, an Italian-inspired brunch restaurant serving breakfasts, brunch dishes, pasta, and Italian tapas-style plates.
This role is ideal for a chef looking for regular weekend hours in a busy, friendly independent restaurant. You will work across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, supporting both daytime and evening service.
Hours
- Approximately 24 hours per week
- Hours will vary depending on the rota and business needs
- Shifts will be spread across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- A mixture of daytime and evening shifts
- Weekend availability is essential
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, pasta, and Italian tapas dishes
- Run a kitchen section confidently during busy service
- Complete daily preparation and mise en place
- Maintain consistent portion sizes, presentation, and food quality
- Work efficiently during busy weekend services
- Keep the kitchen and your section clean, organised, and service-ready
- Follow food hygiene, allergen, and HACCP procedures
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and reducing food waste
- Work closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Chef, Line Chef, or Chef de Partie
- Experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen
- Confidence cooking on the stove and managing a section
- Experience with Italian food, pasta, or brunch dishes is desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure
- Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
